EY3 configuration explained
The EY3 LCD throttle is designed to be compatible with a wide range of electric scooters (and even electric bicycles) running on different voltages, with different motors and tire sizes (among other things). With the EY3, some P settings are marked with letters.

For specific configurations for your electric scooter (including factory defaults), please search for your scooter’s configuration in our database.

P0: wheel diameter. P0 is used to calculate speed and odometer by measuring engine rotations per minute (RPM). If your speed is not reported correctly, P0 is likely to be the culprit.

P1 – Battery voltage protection. Controls the critical voltage protection of the battery (do not adjust).

P2: motor poles. Motor pole settings are specific to scooter models and necessary for the controller to drive the motor phases at the correct frequencies for best performance.

P3 – Direction of speed signal. Do not adjust this default setting (Default: 0).

P4 – Display units. Display of speedometer and odometer in metric or imperial system. (0: km/h, 1: mph)

P5 – Startup style. Enables or disables the zero start function that allows the scooter to start from 0 kmh. When disabled, the scooter must roll at low speed before the motor is activated.

P6 – Cruise control. Activates and deactivates the cruise control.

P7 – Acceleration rate. It is used to increase or decrease the acceleration speed.

P8 – Motor power. Sets the maximum motor power. For those trying to get the most out of their scooter, they will want to maximize engine power.

P9 – Engine torque. Sets the amount of torque (1=50 %, 2=75 %, 3=100 % (max.)).

PA: regenerative braking force. Controls the braking force applied by the motors. Setting it to 3 makes the responsiveness very strong (0=None, 3=Strong).

PB: screen brightness. Controls the brightness of the screen.

PC: automatic shutdown time of the scooter. Control the amount of time (1-30 min) that the scooter must be idle before enabling automatic shutdown.

PS: ABS (anti-lock brakes) configuration. Sets anti-lock braking (0=ABS off, 1=on).
