The QS-S4 is designed in such a way that it is compatible with a wide range of electric scooters (and even electric bicycles) operating on different voltages, with different motors and tire sizes (among other things). For specific configurations for your electric scooter (including factory defaults), please search for your scooter’s configuration in our database. P0 – Wheel diameter. P0 is used to calculate speed and odometer by measuring engine RPM. If your speed is not reported correctly, P0 is likely to be the culprit. P1: LCD brightness OR battery voltage protection. Depending on your scooter, this setting will control something as benign as LCD backlight brightness or critical battery voltage protection. P2 – Display units O Motor poles. Depending on your scooter, this setting will control whether the units are displayed in imperial (mph) or metric (kmh) or the number of poles of your engine. Motor pole settings are specific to scooter models and necessary for the controller to drive the motor phases at the correct frequencies for best performance. P3 – Battery voltage. It normally sets the maximum battery voltage and allows the display to correctly report the percentage of battery remaining. P4: displays the sleep time. Sets the timer for how long the display will remain on without activity before turning off. P5 – Zero start. Enables or disables the “zero start” function that allows the scooter to start from 0 mph. When deactivated, the scooter must be running at low speed before the motor is activated. P6: wheel diameter OR cruise control. Sets the wheel diameter (see P0) or enables/disables the cruise control. P7 – Motor poles OR acceleration speed. Sets the number of motor poles (see P2) or is used to increase or decrease the acceleration speed. P8: motor power OR regenerative brake force. Sets the maximum motor power or controls the force of the electronic brake. For those trying to get the most out of their scooter, they will want to maximize engine power. P9: zero start OR electronic brake force. See P5 and P8. P11 – Regenerative brake force. See Q8. P12 – Acceleration rate. See Q7. P13: unused. P14: unused. P15: displays the sleep time. See P4. P16: Lifetime odometer reset. You can use this to reset the odometer for life. P17: cruise control OR automatic headlight ignition. See P6 for cruise control. Controls whether the lights turn on automatically. P99 – QS-S4 reset. Resets everything in the QS-S4 accelerator. PA: Lifetime odometer reset. See P16. PB: shows the sleep time. See P4. PC: LCD brightness. See P1.
