Error 3-5: Wrong skid serial number.
This error usually occurs after the controller has been replaced. We can replace the controller after it is damaged. We usually use the V3 controller or the original Xiaomi controller, but because the controller software and serial number are different from the Xiaomi scooter, an error will be reported and the xiaomi scooter beeps.
All Xiaomi branded electronic devices have a way to view their serial number. The serial number is a unique number defined by each manufacturer and therefore each manufacturer can follow its own numeric or alphanumeric system.
We provide you with instructions on how to view the serial number on a Xiaomi Scooter to check if it is a counterfeit, check if it is still under warranty or know its date of manufacture. More importantly, this serial number determines whether problem 35 can be solved.
How to eliminate beeps from this error?
To do this, you have to use the mobile application m365Downgrade on android (on IOS it works badly) to modify the serial number of the control unit.
Once we have downloaded the application, we only have to open it and pair it to our scooter via bluetooth on. It is important to know that we should not update the firmwares of our scooters with the Mi Home application.
Once connected to the scooter, touch the option <Advanced tool> in the application. A tool called <modify TRV number> appears. Here you can enter the serial number of your scooter and click save.
Then disconnect, turn off the scooter and restart it, the scooter will not report an error.
If the sticker on the base of your scooter is so damaged that the serial number is completely impossible to read, you can enter 12345 instead.
